  • pregnancy!??!!?

So why is it that people who DO NOT want to get pregnant always do and those who DO want to get pregnant DON'T? It is really frustrating, my mom was a very fertile woman and she did not want to have me just yet. ONE month off the brithcontrol pills and ONE time having sex with the withdraw method and 9 months later out pops me! I stopped all prevention except the withdraw method in February and now the last 2 cycles I have stopped the withdraw method and NO baby. My brother and his fiancee did not want to get prengnant and they get to! My other brother and his girlfriend did not want a baby and they get pregnant! But do I who wants a baby along with my husband? Do we get the easy "oh look I am pregnant" NOOOO we DON'T get to have a baby. I know it has only been 2 months but still, I want it to be an easy conception and so far it is looking like I am going to have to actually buy those ovulation tests to actually hit the nail on the head at the right time. I am in no way shape or form wondering if we are having issues with fertility, it has only been 2 months. Well, I spose I will go another roung and call it a day.

  • Pregnancy

So my hobby for the last year or so has been researching pregnancy. Not really what you should eat or anything like that but more or less what to expect when you are pregnant. I have a lot of knowledge in my brain about pregnancy but unfortunately in order for all of it to spill out it has to be provoked so this is going to be a wee bit choppy.

When a woman is trying to conceive there are a couple of things she can do to help her and her partner. First, she can know when she ovulates. When she ovulates can be detected by body signals, which vary by woman, or by an ovulation test where the woman pees on a stick everyday or when she thinks she is going to ovulate soon and the test will tell her when she is most fertile. The way those tests work is there is a special hormone that is produced when ovulating that is leaked into the urine and triggers the test. Also, what she can do is try to use sex positions that help the sperm flow to the egg. There are thousands of sperm but only one will make it to the egg to actually fertilize it. When the egg is fertilized it will travel through the fallopian tube and plant into the tissue that has been building in the uterus for the last week to 2 weeks, depending on when the fertilization happened. Once the egg is planted and detected as fertilized the tissue that would have shed during the next period now stays the body goes on overdrive to bring in more tissue to cushion the baby. The process of the egg planting into the uterus is about 10 days. There may be some light bleeding that women mistaken for their period. Some women feel signs at this point but most do not feel anything until about week 8. Again, this varies upon each woman.

So, let's say that it is week 8 and the woman is started to feel some symptoms. She may be overly tired and completely exhausted. She may be nauseous or throwing up. The woman could also have lower back and/or stomach pain. The woman's breast could be tender to the touch, if you recall when you were first getting your breast how when you laid down on your stomach and it hurt your chest, same thing. There could be some change in the pigmentation of the nipples or inner lips of the "womanly part".

There is much more to say in detail about this subject and this part of the pregnancy but i will leave that for a later blog. I will see how this blog does to know if I will continue blogs about this. All information provided is from my brain that I gathered from many many websites and cannot remember a single one.

  • Hi everyone! I'm just getting started on Xanga... Drop me a comment if you've got some ideas on what to do first - or just to say, "Hi!"
  • New User

As most can see by the Xanga generated post I am a new user to Xanga. Funny how I walk into these things. As I looked around the site Xanga kind of seems like a facebook just you get more space to voice what is truely on your ming which is great because I love to write aimless things that run through my head. I did try Hubpages but it just felt that when I was to write things on there they were to be educated articles and not thoughts of my own. This may be interesting...
